Mini Palma Smallbore Rifle Match

Eligibility:  Open to all interested competitors regardless of affiliation or skill level. Coaching is available for new shooters. Note: This is not a registered or approved match. All are encouraged to attend.

Rules:  Current NRA Smallbore Rifle rules will govern with exception. Any .22cal. single shot rifle, Iron sights only. Note: See Classification rules.

Classification:  All competitors will be divided into two groups: Adult and Junior. Each group will be divided into three rifle categories: "S," "M" or "B." ["S" referring to sporter rifles, "M" referring to NRA Smallbore Rifle Rule 3.2 and "B" referring to the use of bi-pods or forearm rests.] Note: "S" = quantity-production un-modified sporter rifles such as Ruger 10/22's, Marlins, Savages, CZ's, etc. Because of safety reasons, any such rifle that cannot be "cleared/made safe" immediately upon a "Cease Fire" command, ( ie: - pump rifles, some lever actions, and all those with tubular magazines), may not be used in formal competitions.

Equipment:  Targets are included in the match fee. Clips will be required for hanging targets on the frames provided. A limited number of rifles, mats and other equipment are available for new shooters. Arrangements MUST be made for these items at least one week prior to match day. All competitors are to furnish their own ammunition.

Course of Fire:  All matches will be fired at 100 yards using one custom Mini Palma Target provided. All shooting is done from the Prone position. Note: A Tournament consists of 3 matches. Match = 15 min. per stage, 5 min break between stages. Each Match will last no longer than 55 minutes.

Tournament = Match 1 - 3 3 Stages to each match
Stage 1: 800 yard Mini Palma bull, 15 Record Shots, Unlimited Sighters
Stage 2: 900 yard Mini Palma bull, 15 Record Shots, TWO Sighters
Stage 3: 1000 yard Mini Palma bull, 15 Record Shots, TWO Sighters


Teams:  (2) or (4) man teams may be declared during registration for the purposes of setting Int'l or "open meeting" records. Match #1 (1st target only) will be used for calculating the team's score for submission.

International
Records:  Competitors who wish to have their scores reported for International Record must compete in the "M" rifle category. The attempt here is to establish a standard which may be followed world-wide.

Entry Fee:  Roslyn Club members $8 - NON Club members $12. Cash or Check only, NRA Award points will not be accepted
